On 7th June there was the second public meeting on the plan to set up a Southampton Common Forum, with the aim to be a focal point for issues affecting The Common. It is hoped that as wide and diverse a range as possible of organised groups and individuals will be associated with the Forum. In a presentation, the Leader of the City Council, Simon Letts said he welcomed the establishment of the Forum.
The next public meeting will be on Tuesday 27th September at Richard Taunton College with tea/coffee from 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start. This meeting will consider the next stages towards preparing a management plan for The Common.
