2023 HCERA CAROLS

Carols on the Green, was as always a lovely community event. We sang at the window of an elderly neighbour, and were able to help celebrate Peter’s birthday with a loud rendition of Happy Birthday. Ocean Brass were out in force this year with 10 members playing beautifully.

Thanks as always to Lawrence and Louise for leading us in song, and the seasonal readings and poems.

Donations of £100 were collected for the Lord Mayor’s Charities, a change this year as the current Lord Mayor, Val Laurent, lives in the Estate.

Val says “Hugely appreciated, thank you to all who contributed. The local involvement is very special indeed!”

Lord Mayor’s Charities this year are Oasis Southampton City Farm, Southampton Sea Cadets and the Saints Foundation.
