We are now entering in our fifth year of this great effort by you all. Thank you for your continued support. This is very important since the need hasn’t gone away. Child poverty is increasing, fuel costs are still massively higher than before the hike, and accommodation continues to be a deep problem.
We are aware that we all have had our constraints too. We realise that some of you disagree sincerely with the idea of foodbanks, and we get that. We also know that many of you are much involved in other worthwhile charities, and dependent families, so your continued support is deeply appreciated by the recipients, by the team at St Albans and by us.
The Christmas appeal was highly successful, as was the small sale in late June. We raised £1200, including for the sale of many delicious cakes! Thanks for all the help and donations. We have expanded our delivery team with the kind help of Kathryn and Fran, now alternating with David. Thank you most of all to those unknown people who quietly deposit a gift, maybe of rice, dog food, or a jar of jam. You are not seen, but the good you do, matters.
