The First Bus service number 7A to the General Hospital, Shirley and Millbrook ceased in June. The 7 only goes as far as Burgess Road. To get to the General Hospital, you can catch the U6H outside MacDonald’s and from the hospital take the number 4 to Shirley. The 7 does not run on Sunday evenings; the first time in living memory that there has been no bus along Bassett Green Road. To return from the City Centre on Sunday evenings, there is the number 2, U6H and U2B (limited service outside University Terms).
