This year the party had really enjoyable weather without the vicious heat we had earlier. Our barbecue chefs were again Ken Hickling and Mark Wakeling. Josephine Wakeling supplied and cooked the vegetarian meals. Susan Kench, a new arrival to the area, ran the children’s games. Liz Cox embarked on her new career of face painting. A notable contribution to the food was a splendid summer pudding.
