Listeners to ‘The Archers’ on Radio 4 will remember that there was an ‘Open Gardens’ day in May. The judge was none other than Alan Titchmarsh who was taken round the village in Joe Grundy’s horse and cart.
Well, if Ambridge can do it, why can’t the Bassett Green Conservation Area have an ‘Open Gardens’ day?
The Avenues Conservation Area in Hull on its ‘Open Gardens’ day lets the rest of Hull see behind the small front gardens and discover the wide variety of back gardens that are usually hidden from view. Over the years, the event has grown and now more that fifty gardens are on display.
If you are interested in participating in such an event, please tell your street rep or send an email.
